What is THERMAN ?
THERMAN is a thermal analysis software program that uses the Fourier method to calculate 3D temperature distribution in solids. THERMAN is not designed to simulate fluid flow or complex geometric shapes, and is therefore particularly well suited to conduction-dominated problems in rectangular-shaped, multi-layer structures such as IC chips, MCMs, PC boards and some MEMS structures.
Why choose THERMAN?
THERMAN is low-cost, quick and simple to learn and use, and because it uses the Fourier method it is also extremely fast. Co-simulation of RC dynamic compact models for packages combined with detailed thermal models of PCBs is possible in THERMAN version 2 - a world-first! |
