Scroll ViewPort - the toolbar button

The purpose of this function is to move the viewport above an enlarged function plot. After selecting this menu item (or pressing the toolbar button) an anchor symbol of is placed in the middle of the active function plot window indicating that the viewport scrolling is on. The cursor is changed to one of , , or symbols, depending on the relative cursor position with respect to the symbol (Figure 4-24). This indicates the direction of panning - while the viewport is smoothly moved.

Moving the cursor into another direction the direction of the viewport scrolling is changed. The viewport scrolling can be switched off by pressing any button on the mouse.
