The setup procedure

  • Unpack the installation media and insert it to the appropriate drive unit of the control computer.
  • Consult the readme.txt file on your installation media (root directory of a CD).
  • Double click the setup icon found in the disk1 folder on the CD. The setup wizard will guide you through the installation procedure

The procedure copies all necessary files of T3Ster-Master software to your computer, into the folder you specified.

Note that it is highly recommended to accept the default root folder name (C:\MicReD\), since all other software tools of MicReD are also installed there by default and MicReD applications may share the same license key file which is best installed only once, at a fixed location.

In case of other MicReD software tools you may have already chosen an installation root folder location different from the default one. It is suggested3 to keep that choice in case of T3Ster-Master, too. There is no conflict in the file usage between the T3Ster Measurement Control & Results Evaluation Tool and T3Ster-Master thus they can share the same installation folder.

The setup wizard makes minimal changes to your operating system. After installation it is advised to create shortcut icons to T3Ster-Master.exe (as usual in Windows) e.g. on your desktop to allow quick access to the program.

Having completed the installation T3Ster-Master is ready for use: no other manual settings are required. Upon its first startup, the program will create all the Windows registry entries that it will use later on. The Win32 registry keys created and used are described in Appendix B.
