This interface module has been developed to provide an alternative to MicReD's ISA-slot high-speed parallel interface card in order to allow an easy connection of the T3Ster equipment to any computer without needing alteration to the computer hardware. The standard LPT port of the control computer is used for data transfer from and to the T3Ster equipment . Version 1.1 as of April 2003 of the T3Ster Measurement Control and Evaluation Tool provides the necessary device drivers for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2K/XP operating systems.

If the T3Ster equipment is ordered with this interface option, the Centronics interface box is factory installed: it is attached to the rear of the main system unit as shown in Figure 6-4. The T3Ster equipment is to be connected to the LPT1 port of the control computer with a standard parallel cable as if it was a printer.
If you want to replace the high-speed parallel interface with the Centronics interface box, follow the instructions shipped with the interface box.
