Specification of the control computer

The control computer has to be of the following specification:

When using MicReD's high speed parallel interface card, the PC has to be equipped with a free ISA slot (typical for desktop computers). The Centronics interface module allows using any computer, such as even notebook machines

A display with SVGA resolution (640x480 pixel at least, 800x600 standard, 16 bit color depth) is required. Using a 17" monitor at 1024x768 pixel resolution all software menus can be placed on the screen simultaneously having a reasonable size.

The Centronics interface module has to be attached to the backside of the Main System Unit, with each connector of the module plugged into the corresponding sockets of the Main System Unit. The Centronics interface cable has to be attached with its correct end to the computer and to the interface module. This interface works with version 1.1 (from April 2003 on) of the T3Ster Measurement Control & Evaluation Tool.

The parallel port card has to be installed to the ISA slot and each plug on the control cable must be connected to the corresponding connector on the Main System Unit and the computer. This card is supported by any version of the T3Ster Measurement Control & Evaluation Tool.

If the appropriate device driver is properly installed for the computer interface of the the T3Ster equipment, it can be activated using the Select Interface item of the System menu of the T3Ster Measurement Control & Evaluation Tool.
