Main System Unit Assembly

Figure 4-1 shows the front view of the open rack and the backplane. All modules have to be inserted into the corresponding slots in a fixed order.

The System Unit is shipped with 13 slots, with modules in the following order (left to right, see also Figure 1-1)

• Mandatory driver and measuring units:

  1. Transistor driver unit (TRNDR)
  2. Quad current source (QCUSO)
  3. Power switch & thermostat driver (SWTDR)
  4. One channel measuring unit #0 (MEASU0)

• Optional measuring units:

5. One channel measuring unit #1 (MEASU1)
...
11. One channel measuring unit #7 (MEASU7)

• Mandatory control units:

  12. Digital control unit 1 (DIGC1) and
  13. Digital control unit 2 (DIGC2)
