Although at startup the program performs a quick test of the hardware (checks its status word indicating the existence of its modules), a thorough system test is recommended before any actual measurement is carried out. Such a hardware test can be performed by selecting the Hardware Test item of the System menu (shown in Figure 5-21). Quick information about the system components can also be requested by selecting the Information item from the menu. Interface options used by the T3Ster software can be changed by the Select Interface item of this menu.
