Hardware test

If this item is selected from the System menu, a thorough test of the T3Ster equipment is performed: after the communications with the main hardware components is performed, the test of the autonomous on-card memory modules is also carried out. A question mark in the Hardware test window (Figure 5-22) indicates which part of the T3Ster main system unit is being tested. If the test of the given module passed, a green checking mark appears at the corresponding location in the window. In case of failure a red X is displayed. If hardware errors were found, an error message (see Figure 5-23) will be displayed at the end of the test.

The actual test starts after the Start button is pressed in the window. If Quick Test is checked, only the required test is performed without generating a detailed test log. To let the software create a detailed log of the test in file, check the Create logfile control. The generated logfile is named errlog.txt which is located in the TEMP folder of your operating system (indicated by the TEMP or TMP environment variables of Windows). A detail of such a logfile is shown in Figure 5-24.

In case of troubleshooting if consultation with MicReD Ltd. is needed, always create such a logfile and send it to MicReD via electronic mail.
