The T3Ster software interprets the signals measured according to the actual test category, i.e. the same values can have different meaning in other test configuration. Before starting the measurement you have to select one of the suggested test configurations by choosing the Select Configuration item of the Measurement menu or by pressing the above toolbar button. These configurations are:
NPN BJT, PNP BJT
npn or pnp type bipolar junction transistors
MOS N, MOS P
n or p-type MOSFETs
DIODE A-GND, DIODE C-GND
diode(s) with anode / cathode grounded (max. 4 diodes)
R+D A-GND, R+D C-GND
Resistive dissipator element and separate sensors. The sensors can be resistors, thermocouples, infra sensors or diode(s) with anode/cathode grounded (max. 4 sensors)
CURRENT BOOSTER, BOOSTER R+D A-GND, BOOSTER R+D C-GND
Three different configurations9 with the T3Ster-Booster, see section 6.3 for details.
The appropriate setup can be chosen by selecting a configuration from the Select Configuration window which shows the preferred measurement arrangement with switch settings and cabling. In Figure 5-2 an example of choosing BJT NPN can be seen.

9Any booster configuration is available in this window only, if the booster options of the T3Ster software are licensed. If not, the corresponding radio buttons remain gray.
