A utility program supports the device driver installation on Windows NT/2K/XP. After having completed the setup procedure of the T3Ster software start this utility (Ntinstall.exe) from the driver\nt40 subfolder of the T3Ster software, see Figure 3-2.
Note, that for device driver installation you need to log in into your Windows NT/2K/XP system as Administrator or as user that has the same rights and privileges as the Administrator.
After having started up the Ntinstall.exe utility, press the Install Driver button, see Figure 3-3a. As a next step, you have to specify the base address of the I/O port in a small input field (see Figure 3-3b). The address you specify here must be the one you have previously identified (Figure B-1 in Appendix B) and set on the parallel card. After having entered the base address value, press the OK button.

If there was no problem, you may leave the utility program by pressing the Close button. If the specified address is already in use by another device, you will obtain an error message such as shown in Figure 3-4.

Windows NT/2K/XP
In this case as the message suggests change the configuration: check if you have really specified the base address you set on the card. If needed, look for another address and set it on the parallel interface card as described in Appendix B. Change the software configuration by pressing the Change Configuration button of the Ntinstall.exe utility, see Figure 3-5. If needed, the device driver can be removed from your system by pressing the Uninstall Driver button.
The installation procedure will copy the m8255s.sys device driver into the system folder %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers and performs all system changes needed for the correct functioning of the parallel card.
