The Win32 version of the T3Ster software can be run on a control computer with a Windows 9x, ME, NT4, 2K or XP system. For the correct operation of all functions of the software, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 must be installed on your system. For the specification of the control computer hardware see the T3Ster Hardware Reference Guide, Chapter 6.

The T3Ster Measurement Control & Evaluation Software is distributed on standard media such as floppy disks and CD-ROM. For installing the software the following steps have to be done:
The procedure copies all necessary files of the T3Ster software to your computer, into the folder you specified. Note, that it is highly recommended to accept the default folder name (C:\MicReD\), since all other software tools of MicReD (such as the THERMODEL program or the T3Ster-Master program which are also contained in the installation media of the T3Ster software) are also installed there by default (see also section 3.6). The files copied include the device drivers (both for Windows NT and Windows 9x and compatible systems) needed for all supported interface options of the T3Ster equipment.
Except copying files, the installation wizard does not make any changes to your operating system. The device driver necessary for the interface option for your the T3Ster configuration is to be installed manually, as described in sections 3.2 and 3.3.
