This Peltier-element based dry thermostat is aimed the calibration
of the TSP (temperature sensitive parameter) of the semiconductor
devices being tested by T3Ster®.
The thermostat is connected directly to a PC through a COM
port. The operation of the thermostat is controlled by the thermostat
module of the T3Ster® measurement control software. This way
the calibration diagrams are automatically generated within
a few minutes.
In the "manual mode" of the thermostat control
module of the T3Ster® software the thermostat can be used as a cold-plate
during the measurements. This way the thermostat may serve as a "hard
thermal boundary".
Device
TSP calibration setup with the T3Ster® equipment and MicReD's
thermostat unit
Results of TSP sensitivity
measurement as shown by the T3Ster® software
1 Supplied as standard accessory
of the thermostat.
2 Time to approach the final value
by 0.2 °C for DT = +15 °C,
with the standard cap.
The software control of the thermostat is implemented
within the T3Ster® software. Thus, In case of using our thermostat
the appropriate software upgrade is required. This upgrade is provided
together with the thermostat unit, as a mandatory component.
Different phases of the automatic
measurement of the TSP sensitivity in the thermostat module of
the T3Ster® software
By default, the thermostat module of the T3Ster® software supports
MicReD's thermostat. Beside the control of MicReD's own thermostat,
manual and automatic control of third party liquid cooled thermostats
is also implemented. At present a Julabo thermostat and two Cole-Parmer
models are supported. Thus, the thermostat module of the T3Ster® software can be licensed to these third party thermostats.
The T3Ster® software can be customized to any thermostat using
an RS232 connection and ASCII control codes. Ask for details.
