How to reach MicReD's Headquarters by car?

Our Budapest office and laboratory is easy to reach by car. If you come to Budapest from the West on motorways M1/M7, follow the route as marked on the map below. Please, find below instructions how to approach or location.

If you come on the motorway:

1. On joint M1/M7 section of the motorway come straight towards the city center.

2. When reaching the 'end of motorway' sign keep to the left (remain in the middle lane), take direction Petőfi-hid. Drive straight on.

3. When you reach the underpass, slow down to 30 km/h since the road takes a 90 degree turn to the right. Immediately after the underpass there will be a tariff light.

4. At the traffic light turn right (at about 2 o'clock) into the side street called Ajnácskő utca .

5. Drive straight on until you reach the next traffic light. At this traffic light turn to the right and drive through under the railway bridge while crossing the tram rails too (at about 4 o'clock). Drive into the street called Tétényi út. You will drive nearby the Szent Imre Hospital where you pass a pedestrian traffic light and another small junction with traffic light. Keep on driving straight on.

6. At the next traffic light turn right from Tétényi út to Etele út.

7. Drive about 500 m and you reach the MTA-MMSZ building (two-storey gray-brown building on the right). Park your car in front of the building on Etele út (usually there is free space there). In case you are unable to park your car in front of the building, take the first street on the right (Bártfai utca) and try to park there. Please, find MicReD on the first floor of the MTA-MMSZ building in rooms 132/133.

If you come from the city from the direction of the Szabadság-híd (BUTE Campus north) or Petőfi-híd (BUTE Campus south):

• After having reached square Móricz Zsigmond körtér or square Kosztolányi Dezső tér (not shown on the map) drive on street Barók Béla út.

• Drive parallel to the tram rails until you reach the traffic light at the railway bridge marked 5. From the left lane, just at the tram stop, turn to the left (at about 11 o'clock) onto street Tétényi út and follow the instructions for the motorway approach from point 6.

If you come from the city from the direction of the Lágymányosi-híd (BUTE Campus south, ELTE Campus, InfoPark):

• When leaving the Lágymányosi bridge (not shown on the map), keep driving on the main road which makes a 90 degree turn to the left. After this turn select the middle lane at the traffic light and drive straight on until the next traffic light.

• At the next traffic light take a turn to the right and drive on the street called Hengermalom utca (not shown on the map).

• You cross a tramway line at the next traffic light. Drive straight on until you reach the traffic light marked 6 on the map (from eastern direction). Follow the the instructions for the motorway approach from point 7.
